commission inquiry

Every thin place is specific to the person who finds it. A commission is an invitation to find yours.

I accept a limited number of commissions each year — original paintings made to a specific scale, palette, and intention. Whether you have a particular space in mind, a feeling you want to live with, or a landscape that has stayed with you, I would love to talk about what that painting might look like.

The Process

1. Inquiry: Reach out via the form below with as much or as little as you have — the room, the scale, colors you're drawn to, or simply a description of what you're looking for. If you have reference images, feel free to share those too. We'll schedule a conversation from there.

2. Brief & Proposal: Based on our conversation — including past works of mine you're drawn to, the intended space, and any colors or feelings you want to live with — I'll put together a brief outlining the proposed size, medium, price, and timeline. Sharing 1–3 past works that resonate with you is particularly helpful at this stage. Once we're aligned, a 50% deposit confirms the commission and I begin work.

3. Creation: I work intuitively and process-based — each painting finds its own resolution through layers of paint. This means the work looks dramatically different at various stages before arriving at its final state. I ask that clients trust the process fully from deposit to completion. This is not a linear journey, but it is an intentional one.

4. Completion & Delivery: When the painting feels complete I will share final images for your review. One round of directional feedback is welcomed at that stage to ensure the work is everything you hoped for. The painting reflects my full artistic judgment within the agreed brief. The remaining 50% is due upon completion, after which the work is carefully packed and shipped to you.

Shipping is quoted individually based on size and destination.

Payment terms: Non-refundable 50% deposit, remaining 50% upon approved completion.

Lead time is typically 8-10 weeks.
